Our work

Sites we have built, out in the wild.

Three of the sites we look after — two kitchens and a stove installer. Different trades, same approach: a single fast page, the owner's own photography, everything people search for written on the page — and, where it is needed, booking or ordering built straight in.

The PL28 Cafe website: the cafe's logo plaque and the line 'Cafe by day. Tasting menu & small plates by night' over a photograph of a plated brunch.

Padstow · Cafe & evening small plates

PL28 Cafe

A family-run cafe on Broad Street. Light and dark themes, a gallery, the team, and the owner's own dashboard for hours, menus and photos — so the cafe keeps its site current without calling us.

The Reggie's website: the Reggies Mumbai Streetfood wordmark and the headline 'The streets of Mumbai, on the Cornish coast' over a photograph of the food.

St Merryn · Mumbai street food

Reggie’s

Twenty-four seats and four printed menus, every dish and price transcribed onto the page where people and search engines can actually read them. A candlelit dark mode for evening service, and the venue's own photography throughout.

The KB Woodburners website: the headline 'Woodburners, fitted properly' beside a lit stove, with a call button and service tags.

Truro · HETAS stove installer

KB Woodburners

Not every business takes bookings. A trade site where the whole job is to get the phone ringing: what he does, the HETAS credentials that matter to a customer, a stove catalogue, and a tap-to-call button never more than a thumb away.

All three are live and being used by real customers today — click through and try them on your phone. Whatever your business, yours would get the same care.

What we do

Everything a small business needs online, and nothing it doesn’t.

No page builders, no plug-ins to keep updating, no monthly bill for features you never use. Just a site that loads fast, looks like you, and works on every phone.

Website design & build

A site designed around your business and built from a blank page. Your own photography, your own colours, your own voice — not a theme with the logo swapped.

Bookings, shops & catalogues

When your business needs more than a page: a shop with a basket and card checkout, a product or price database you update yourself, or — for restaurants and cafes — table booking that lives right on your site.

Content people can read

Your services, prices, opening hours or menu on the page as text, not hidden in a PDF that will not open on a phone. Searchable, readable, and something Google can actually index.

Hosting & care

We host it, keep it secure, and make the small changes — new hours, a new price, a fresh photo — so your site is never the thing on the to-do list you keep putting off.

Domains & moving house

Already have a domain? We will move it over without any downtime. Old links from Google keep working, and your search ranking comes with you.

Fast, and it stays fast

One clean page, no heavy frameworks, images sized properly. It loads in a blink on a weak signal in a car park — which is where most of your customers will find you.

Pricing

Straightforward prices, written down.

No quotes that arrive weeks later, no bill that surprises you. Most small businesses need a single, well-made page — and that has one price.

Bigger projects

Multi-page sites, product databases & web shops

Get in touch

Several pages, a catalogue or product database, or a shop with a basket and checkout. Every one of these is different, so we price them properly rather than guess.

  • Multi-page sites with their own navigation
  • Product or menu databases you can update yourself
  • Web shops with cart and card checkout
  • Moving an existing site or domain across
Tell us what you need

Prices are for the website itself. If you take bookings or want to sell online, we will talk you through the options when we speak.

How we work

Small, personal, and straightforward.

You talk to the person who actually builds the site — in person if you are nearby, over a call if you are not. No account managers, no ticket queue, no surprises on the invoice.

“A website should look like the business, load before you have finished the thought, and get out of the way of whatever you want people to do next — call, book or buy.”

The three things every site here is built to do.
  1. A conversation

What you do, who you want to reach, and what already works. Bring photographs, a price list or menu, and the things about your current site that drive you mad.

  2. A first draft you can click

Not a mood board — a working page on a private link, on your phone, with your real content in it. We change it until it feels like yours.

  3. Launch, without the drama

Domain pointed, old links redirected, search engines told. If you take bookings or orders online, they are live from day one.

  4. Then we look after it

Hosting, updates and small changes are part of the deal, so the site keeps up with the business rather than the other way round.

About

Out Field, St Issey.

Out Field Web Design is a small studio run by Graham Murt from just outside St Issey — between Wadebridge and Padstow, a few minutes from the Camel Trail.

We build the software behind the sites as well as the sites themselves, which is why hosting, shops and bookings all come from one place instead of three suppliers who have never met.

Much of our work so far has been for food and drink businesses along the north Cornish coast, but the same care goes into a site for a shop, a trade, a holiday let or a studio — and being in a field is no obstacle to working with anyone, anywhere, who wants a site that finally does them justice.

Shelly, a ginger hen, looking straight into the camera on a sunlit lawn at Out Field.
Shelly, who kept an eye on everything at Out Field. Much missed.

Useful to mention

None of it is essential, but it makes the first conversation better.

  • What you sell or offer, and to whom
  • Whether you need bookings, a shop or just a page
